Hey everyone, so here is Workout B of Rippetoe's 3x5. Still working on form and i can't lift a lot anyways, not very strong. This workout was with a buddy for the first time on Monday, the 1st.

Anyways, critique them please, lost some videos idk where they went haha but here are these.

Squats -

Military Presses -

Bent Rows -

Dips -

you're still GMing the weight on squats;- point of emphasis on squat in bold.

- chest up, shoulders back, good posture, sit back into your squat with your ass and hips before your knees- your knees move at the same time as your ass and hips- litteraly stick your ass out before you start the negative portion of the squat, try placing the bar higher, and narrower stance. Keep your entire body tight throughout the lift

Overhead Press (military is with feet together i believe)- don't bring the bar down so far on the negative portion. It's fine what you do but you kind of let it drop a bit once it's down. Hold the bar with whichever grip feels most comfortable- i noticed you switched between a wider one to a more narrow one- i like the narrower one myself. Dammmmm- just saw your arms flailing behind your head. Control the weight, don't let it control you. Also keep your whole body tight throughout this lift.

Row- looked good to me man.. definitely increase the weight. Why you switch from power cleans btw?

Dips are fine as well.

Yeah my squats suck balls, I was really trying to work on keeping my back from rounding at the bottom.... and trying to keep my stance good. . .

Well, tomorrow its time to lower the weight (i REALLY should not have done 25lb haha) and work on form.

Is it a problem, when i squat if my posture (even when i walk around casually) i am somewhat more slouched, my back is not straight i walk a little bit slouched, so does that effect my posture for my squat?

Also, when i am squatting, bring my ass back first then knees out? And for my chest, when you are watching it, is it always sinking in and not staying up?

ohhhhh GM'ing just watched couple more videos that go more in depth about it. Would it help me if i looked up while i was coming out of the squat. Like keep my head looking at the same point, but sort of tilt my head up?

Switch to front squats...You're doing back squats on workout A. Do Fronts on workout B.

I know you're not a big fan of Rippetoe, but the main point of his program is to back squat each workout. Having said that, I think i see what you mean as during front squats his back probably won't round nearly as much if at all.

also ark, doing deadlifts will help your posture. Keep trying with the squats!

Dude, just break down and buy the fucking book. It is the best $30 you will ever spend on weightlifting. It is worth every penny.

I have the book =D

I have almost gotten through the Squat section, not much time to read it because of my exams last week, and was busy this weekend. But i am still reading it and i have learned a lot of important things about my feet from it, and my knees etc. I really have not found how to fix my back rounding, hopefully he comes across that.
