Will it ever catch up?? or am i doomed to have a mankey chest

Hi this is my first post here and i have to say this is one awesome
forum,i've learned tons in the 2 days i've been reading all your posts :)

Well heres the prob i have...
i've been trainning now off and on for about 3 years and i cant
seem to get my chest to even up,one side is more rounded than the other, its like the bottom of my right chest just refuses to grow
and looks like i've had it partly removed as where my left side
at the bottom looks nice rounded and full.

This is what i do on my chest:

3 sets of 15 reps flat bench
3 sets of 15 reps dumb bell flys
3 sets of 15 reps recline
and then finish of with 3 sets of 10 machine exstended flys
I always up the last set on them all by a few kg's

I only train my chest once a week and both sides feel evenly strong.. so could it just be bad genes or am i doing something
wrong?
I hope someone can help me with this because i can't stand the look of my chest :(

Thanx in advance

It should even up if your training both sides equally, but I would start doing a little extra for the weak side. My bi's were uneven by about an inch or so. What I did was contract harded and longer on the weak side and I threw in extra reps where I could.

Thanx for the response.

I don't think thats the problem though, both sides are the same strenth,i've never had any probs bench pressing,it's just the
right side looks smaller and out of shape at the bottom,
i'm starting to think its more of a genetic thing than anything else,
looks like all i can do now is hope it will even out with time :(

thanx again

the trick is to do notheing but isolation and with dbell presses and flys.

if each side wroks independantly, and you make sure that you felx and contract the muscle thoughtfully, there is no reason fo that side not to catch up.

I had a sternum injury, that has basically caused the same thing in me, and flys are helping, with stict dbells presses

welcome aboard:)

I will second the isolation theory. If you want symetry you have to work the muscles individually. You may never be able to completely overcome the genetics that made you what you are, but don't let this discourage you though, I have been able to equal out many differences by isolating each muscle.

Enjoy your stay here,

MJ
