Wierd thing happened

So i been training pretty hard to lose weight, but I was stuck at the 236 for a few weeks and I thought I was overworking myself so I decided to take a break. I didn't work out for 4 days, but I started to get to get sick right as I started to get back into my routine. I was just beginning to get a cold when i worked out on a tuesday and then on Wednesday i was felt like complete crap so I decided not to work out until i felt better. today i checked the scale and i weighed 244 and i really just dont get it. i'm not sure how it could be that i was busting my ass off for 3 weeks and couldnt drop even a single pound but when i dont work out for over a week and eat like crap (i really some pretty unhealthy foods) and i see a 2 lb loss.

I think you mean 234?...Or 246??

I gotta stop doing that...236->234...idk why i never get this right, anywho i lose 2 lbs and idk how or why because my eating and training was terrible compared to what i normally do
 
Do you know what calories you were eating while you were 'busting your ass'?

Sometimes if calories are too low, the body holds onto fat, so tracking what is happening in your body is best with bodyfat percentages, or measurements as B24 has mentioned.

Accumeasure does a one site caliper measurement, they are quite cheap, and usually suit most people's purpose.

I know of quite a few people that have better fat loss/weight loss after they have a cheat meal, it gets the metabolism kicked up a notch again.



The other thing it could be is that your body was doing a recomposition, which means you were taking off fat, but putting on muscle, so your weight will not decrease much at all, or increase.

2 lbs is really not much weight at all, one big bottle of water really. One large bowel movement for some.

It really isn't all that weird.
 
I'll hold water usually up to 48 hours after lifting, too. When I slack off from lifting I usually drop water weight, easily 1 or 2 pounds.
