The Real reason pros dont use alot of shakes is because they are not as effective and useful as real food. Think if your sole job was to eat and train all day, sleep, maybe send some emails, etc, you would be able to cook and eat good.
Why do you use shakes? Lets see because you work, your busy and cooking all the time, or going to the store, or carryign a cooler isnt your thing.
If I was bulking and could cook all the time, you would damn sure see me BBQing every day, cooking steaks, chicken etc, making nice whole quality meals.
Whey protein is great, but digest too quickly.
