In addition to the possibility of "fresh receptors" and such...isnt there also the chance that if you start young, and you are not being careful and precise with PCTs and doing constant labs, that over time you are slowly lowering your own baseline Test levels? If thats the case and folks are experimenting with roids and not being careful about PCT and time off between cycles (which when I was younger and guys I knew playing football who juiced, did it haphazardly as hell, whatever they could get they would shoot up or pop and train hard and then come off without PCT or with whatever random PCT they could find), then over the long haul if your T levels are dropping all that time off cycles your not making the gains you could...
Plus yea the money issue...there is so much "free" ways to gain...spend your money on some good books about training, good supplements, and a good grocery store plan...and train hard but smart, meaning you need to take into consideration rest and recovery, active recovery, lots of things...most people unless your genetics stink and your hormone levels are way low naturally, can make some good ass gains without needing the bean...
I bet if some folks just drank a gallon of milk a day, ate PBJs with bananas and honey, hard boiled eggs, tuna, chicken breasts, rice, oatmeal, and burgers, and hit the gym three times a week just doing squats, bench, deads, cleans, overhead press, chins, bent over rows, RDLs, etc, major compound movement stuff....that if they kept stuffing their face for 3-4 months and were dedicated to 3 full body workouts a week training hard, and using the days off for active recovery, stretching, foam rolling, breathing exercises, maybe walks or if youre a little chubby do interval training on the days off, you will see gains....most of us at times in our life probably didnt see gains because we didnt eat enough protein or calories, or we were not really lifting with enough full body compound movements (ie not doing 100 isolation movements a workout), and we didnt stick to a diet and gym plan long enough...\\
If your lean and a hard gainer, stuff your face and start doing some Bill Starr or Westside Barbell workouts....if youre kinda chubby, go low carb or cyclical keto diet, high protein, lots of shakes and BCAAs and EFAs, hit the major lifts and do 2-3 days a week of interval training (sprints, sleds, sledge hammer, etc)...stick with it for 3 months at least and see what happens....
