Why do people not feel deads?

Im very curious as to why we dont feel the burn in the muscles when we do deads. Its more of a overall tiredness but not a tight fatigue like one would feel on other lifts????

it depends, if I go higher rep, 8-10 reps, I feel a burn in my lower back

I most def feel it in my lower back. Also in my ass, hammies, adductors, and quads since I do 'em sumo.

I feel them in my L-back and forearms like crazy. I also feel them in my ass, then I get all self concious about having a big ass, but then I remeber that I'm a guy and that it doesn't matter if I have a big ass or not - because this baby's got back.

I do them conventional, no wraps or belt.

How much weight/sets/reps are you using? Also, what way are you using the deadlift in your routine? Do you want to excel in the lift or do you just include it as a 'mass builder'?

I don't feel a "burn" like I do with higher rep excercises, but I sure as hell feel them the next day.:D

I'd say it's because DLs require so many different muscles as opposed to concentrating on one or two. No single muscle gets completely worked to the "burn" stage, but everything gets drained. It should be obvious within 24-36 hours that you did DLs...if not, maybe you're not going as heavy as you could be.

Maybe because it is not a "contraction" type of movement...

try snatch grip deadlifts on a 4inch block, explode onto your toes and shrug your shoulders, lower slowly .

get back to me on how you feel :)
