Why do I Look Flat in the Mornings?

I look like i'm sick, but then after a couple meals and plenty o h2o I start filling out for the day. It's like I deflate while I'm sleeping and have to air myself up everyday. LOL

BTW waist is from 35 to 33-34 now so I know this is working and I've only lost 3-4 pounds in the last 2-3 weeks. Hoping mostly fat. Don't have calipers yet and my gym only test every 2-3 months.

good question. I look flat day around...

seriously, most likely it has to do with water retention... are you cutting too much on your carbs? Any diuretics or something like that??

If you were looiing puffy I would say it was the milk or extra carbs (happen to me all the time, maybe I am just puffy).

K for good answers to this one...

lol, are you saying for your face or all around. Me, I look flat (relatively) in the mornings. I think it has to do with the way gravity affects you when you are sleeping and blooflows. For me it usually goes away after a shower.

Yep all around. Look flat until I am up for a while and as the day goes on I look more and more full. I look my best before bed actually, and then flat again in the morning.

I just know that in the mornings, your are a bit taller than you are at nite, due to the effects of gravity. If its all day for you, are you sure its not a psychological issue? Not saying you're crazy or anything, but sometimes I percieve myself as being too fat....

Buddy...when you wake up, you have an empty stomach. When you eat, you fill it up with 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 2 slices of buttered bread, and a cup of coffee... it obviously fills out. Not rocket science here...it happens to everybody.

I was told it was dehydration. Have you ever weighed yourself before bed and then again in the morning? The guy who told me that said he could gain like 5-8 pounds of water everyday and then it would be gone in the morning. Something about your body being in a recovery state while you are sleeping and it pulling water and other fluids from all over for use....could be b.s. but it's a thought.LOL

I look flat aswell in the mornings and late at night, I think its just because my stomach is empty at these times as allready said. I think because my last meal is just protein and fat that has something to do with it aswell, If I was taking in carbs with this meal Id probably bloat a bit.

carbs/water.

as you have been fasting for as long as 8-9 hours, and your body is ROCKING with natural GH production and recovery mechs, you are depleting stores of glycogen> keep in mind that for every 1 gram of blood glucose your body NEEDS and DOES store 3 grams of water...

so when you wake you will often look and feel flat. So eat and drink, but mostly, DRINK.
