Which Is Better Post-Workout While Dieting? Dextrose-Maltodextrin/Whey? Or Real Food?

Guys, in YOUR opinion, which is better to have post-workout while dieting to reach single digit bodyfat levels? A Dextrose-Maltodextrin/Whey shake? Or Chicken Breast/Egg Whites/Tuna and Oatmeal/Rice/Sweet Potato? The reason why I ask is I see alot of diets top level amateurs and pro's use and not one of them included a Dextrose-Maltodextrin/Whey shake. One even said they do NOT take in any sugar while dieting to keep his insulin levels stable to get leaner, which kind of made sense. Opinions please...

yo bro we have to toss the bodybuilding mythology in the trash can. i recently started drinking oj post workout and couldnt be happierwith the results. im leaning down and muscles feel tight and hard.. thats what this game is about. and i feel good all the time

I say shakes, you want an easily digestiable, high carb/sugar moderate protein drink. Real food would work except it needs to be broken down, which causes more energy and takes more time.

as SC said it "just because you are dieting, it does not mean the need for fast acting carbs PWO disappears."

I've had better results gaining LBM by using a combo of eggs, waffles, and a tall glass of milk

The ideal PWO, which is what I use, consists of:
1 scoop of concentrate
1 scoop of isolate
30g of dextrose (moderate depending on how big you are).

I load these three components into a little tiny shaker bottle I bought at a grocery store. Then I fill it from the water fountain as I leave the gym and chug it down.
