When to cut ? All replies needed !!!

Hi all.

I'm just wondering how does someone know when they have built enough mass, and want to start a cutting cycle ? I mean I have serious muscle in my upper body, lower body still needs work, especially since it look likes I put on some fat around the legs and ass. ( DAMN ) !!!!! :worried:

I always think that if I start a cutting plan, my muscle will shrink, get smaller, and have that thin, stringy look.

I currently lift heavy anywhere from 6-9 sets, going to failure at 8 reps. BTW, I have only been lifting heavy for 4 months, I was told I should be lifting like this for a while more. I DONT KNOW !!!!! HELP ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !!

I'm just confused as to if there are any signs that lets you know you should start cutting, and end the bulking cycle ?

Plus, how do you alter your weight training while cutting too ?

What is your goal, is this to compete in the near future, look good for the chicks, have a hot body for spring?

Now I feel like If I were you and I was going to compete one day, then I would just except being a tad chubby with a large amount of mass and keep on bulking.

I have been working on building muscle seriously for the last 4 months, been only lifting heavy for months.

No I am not looking to compete, my goal is to just have a muscular but feminine frame.

It means that you must have some size before you cut.

List:

Height
Weight
quad
hips
waist


...measurements.
 
Get a tape measure, measure your biceps, quads, calves, bust, hips, waist - keep track. This is the best way to judge progress, not scale weight. Scales are for losers. :)

Seriously, "when to cut" is individual. You try to gain muscle, cut to see where you are, then reevaluate. It is an ever-changing, ever-evolving process. You cut and you bulk when YOU see fit.
