I use skeletal balm on my knees/joints if they give me trouble.

Anybody ever take a hot epsom salt bath? those help me to.

I heard bananas are good.

Is there any way to prevent being sore on legs day. For some reason every time I hit legs its hard to walk the next day.

Don't get me wrong... I love feeling that sense of accomplishment. I know my form is great and Im catching my legs up to my upper body.

Maybe I'm doing the wrong stretches.

What do you guys use if your really sore and can anybody reccomend some good stretches to incorporate into my legs day to prevent it being a pain to deal with stars :evil:

train for mitochondria development this type of muscle development will allow for more oxygen and nutrients to the muscle, the end result is the more oxygen in the more lactic acid out..

Get a foam roller and use it everyday. If you can afford regular massages and chiro visits these are also great. Also try doing light cardio the next day to flush the legs with blood and reduce soreness.

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using EliteFitness

Lots of antioxidants help also. If you wanna go basic, just get some vitamin C. I always have big helpings of berries in my diet so that helps. Obviously lots of water too but you already know that...

i've experimented with a lot of different things over the years and there is gonna be a slight difference with a hot bath, i've also tried everything from herbs, to ice baths.. to alternating hot and cold, to creams, to whatever.. but not enough to where you will be pleased.

best thing you can do is keep conditioning the muscles.. if you took time away and just came back expect soreness, nothing you can do

a lot of the old timers think its lactic acid that the body produces as a response, but today we know that its more about the muscle fibers breaking up that causes soreness. basically micro-tears in the muscle..

also i wouldn't take anti-inflammatories for the soreness, that could lead to long term problems

Do not take advil, it will inhibit protein synthesis.. here are my suggestion that really works do everything that i mention, if these dont work nothing will...

In this order:

light cardio post workout 10-15 min..
Stretch the muscle you worked for 5 min post workout, cardio..
Eat 2 banana and whatever you drink (protein, creatine) post workout..
2g of vitamin c 5 min after your drink..
Eat a meal (carbs and lean protein) with 3g fish oil...
take a contrast shower after meal..
take 5-7g of fish oil though out the day (including post workout meal)..
