Week 1 SGX results(for those that care)

What's the logic behind 7 days of cardio?

I always understood too much cardio = large amount of muscle loss. I could be interested if it proves itself otherwise.

I currently do 2 - 3 days AM cardio and around 4 days evening cardio after workout.

same question here lodid - everyone I know says 7 days is too much, you'll lose muscle...your body gets used to it...etcetc

comments?

I have no problems doing 7 days, I actually have been stopping myself from doing that much because of what I have read on this board,,,,

Morning cardio is not catabolic like poeple make it out to be.

Fact is, I've done 5 weeks of morning cardio, EVERY DAY, 60 minutes on the treadmill at 4.0mph 3% incline.

Results? I've lost about 20lbs, AND all my lifts are up. I'm on SGX as well so my diet is absolutely perfect. Dead lifts are up 40lbs in 5 weeks, squats up about 35. Incline's up about 20. I'm 100% natural as well right now, been about 5 months since I've been clean.

I used to be so scared of morning cardio, thought I'd shrink to nothing, however thats just not the case, I've actualy put on some LBM these last 5 weeks.

JG1, thanks for your response.

I have a dumb question, but what is 4.0mph. Is that a run, jog, walk?

If that's a run, then my compliments to you! I can barely make 15 minutes on a swift job.

No, it's a fast walk. You certainly don't want to run for an hour every day, then it WILL be catabolic.

Ok, I may be a little confused.

Why 60 minutes fast walking vs. 15 minutes running?

I would think the running would be better for the heart. Walking better for fat loss?

Personal preference?

No, I said you don't want to run for 60 minutes every day. 15 minutes I guess is ok. There a lot of debate whats better for fat loss, lower intensity longer duration cardio, or higher intensity shorter duration cardio. I know for a fact that an hour a day on the treadmill at a fats walk will melt fat pretty quick. Running I think doesn't burn as much fat during the session, but it boosts your metabolism threw out the day.

As long as the cardio is low intensity, like what I do on the treadmill, it won't be catabolic. Like I said I've done it for over 5 weeks now and I've gotten stronger every week, and my weight is down clos to 20lbs.

cool.......

Nice job Wish, just keep at it and keep checking in w/me as advised, and you'll be there in no time at all! In regards to the hideous/juvenile/un-informed remarks about me, hey, it's going to happen. Nothing I can do but laugh and check my mail...

JG, we all know you're results, quite impressive!
