LOL, yeah, then add 20% fat & carbs because of their cooking methods vs. yours.

Ya EXACTLY.

You would have true talent if you can look at a restaurant portion and tell me even an estimate of how many calories it has.

For example a 6 oz chicken breast you make may have 200 calories, a 6 oz chicken breast in a restaurant can easily have 400-500...

It's not a big deal, I'm just saying its truly pointless to try to stay in calorie range on a vacation, just eat and have fun. Just relax, and enjoy and enduldge in things you don't normally eat.

Don't worry about having protein/good carb/veggies, have ice cream, have all you can eat buffets, have more ice cream, have lots to drink and enjoy life for once :p

It's really not that hard if you've been keeping track of your total daily calories and meal patterns for an extended period of time. Not necessarily by sight alone but by feel as well. You should be able to tell if you've just consumed a 1000 calorie or 300 calorie meal just by the way it sits on your stomach.

Regardless. Its vacation. Have a good time and enjoy all the food and drinks you can. Enjoy life is right.

You are on vacation for God's sake...take a break. You will not die with some added fats and carbs. Get your protein in, and be happy.

when I vacation, I don't try to guesstimate. I just try to get some of my meals in a relatively healthy balance, lunches, usually. Breakfasts & suppers I usually splurge over 1/2 the time.
