Snacks

on the go b/t meals. i'm on the go a lot these days and sometimes forget to eat...okay alot of times forget.....like today.

other than protein bars and peanuts. looking for stuff that will fit into my purse. shopping list?

thanks ladies!:)

do you like dark chocolate? You can buy 8oz of Baker's brand baking chocolate for under $2 and make your own sugarless chocolate bar. Remember you can get and stay very ripped eating dietary fats, so don't go nuts with the chocolate since it does have saturated fats in it.

Here's how I make my own chocolate "disks":

I get 1.5oz of the Baker's (comes in handy 1oz blocks), place in bottom of heavy sauce dish that's about 2" diameter and heat in microwave on high for about 90 seconds. I add 1tsp of stevia and stir vigorously for about 15 seconds to thoroughly mix, then I shake it side to side to level out the melted chocolate. I cover and put in freezer for about 30 minutes, then using a knife work around the edges of the chocolate and it pops out in a nice, neat disk.

Also, I might recommend the Truvia brand Stevia I just tried at Walmart. Tastes a lot more like cane sugar than Stevita brand stevia, so stevia newbs will probably like it better. :)

i love dark chocolate, sounds like a nice treat! i bought some stevia and i don't like it much, i need to gradually work up to it. Truvia huh, thanks for the tip. for now I use equal and splenda. this would be perfect for that emergency chocolate bar.

i was just going to say Fat free cottage cheese. great bang for your buck on protein also

i love tha cottage cheese!

I like hard boiled eggs(whites only)

Had to make this last night...it was fantastic!!!!!!
I found that it was easier to remove from the bowl when I let it set out for a min or two. YUMMM

I just posted a muffin recipe, they are great for on the go and can be eaten anywhere. Much healthier then protein bars.
