Rev Band Deadlift question...

They do not present the same tension when stretched, and therefore do not provide the same amount of accomodation throught the movement. The increase and decrease will be exponential from band to band. It obviously takes more weight to drop a blue to the floor than a pink, even though they are about the same length. Same reason I can pull more with a blue than a pink...less assistance.

We are in complete agreement. There is definitely a big difference between the help you will get from band to band...just check our record board. Its just that the point at which the bands let go and give no assistance is a function of their length...so the set up for the Blue or Green band should be the same.

hmmm....guess I will have to hang them from my J-Hooks...maybe I will survive.

For now...off to eat all-you-can-eat fish and hush puppies...:)

The best way to learn something is to try to teach it to someone else...even if you are WRONG. In this case I am. Bands of different tension attached at the same point...a 45 pound bar will hang at different heights from each of them. Thus, there IS a difference between where they will stop helping.

Since B is going to use Blue Bands I would stick with putting the pins at shoulder height. If he were to use green bands I would start with the same set up and check the difference in the height the bar hangs down...and adjust accordingly.
