Protein... where do you get your grams from? Food? Drinks? Which are best?

I was wondering where everyone gets their protein intake. I make sure to get 400g of protein a day and at least 4000 calories. I take two weight gainer shakes, one in the morning and one at night... plus at least two protein drinks during the day... an XXL about mid day an hour after lunch, and a white lightning in the afternoon. Plus protein bars, and TONS of food. As far as real food goes. I eat as much tuna, steak, and chicken as possible. Are there any foods I am overlooking that have a lot of protein? I heard fish is excellent while on a cycle, but the only seafood I like is shrimp and swordfish. Well thanks!! :D

Chicken breasts, salmon, eggs (mostly whites), and protein powder. The best and cleanest sources out there.

Am I the only one who like Myoplex? The chocolate flavor tastes good enough to me I can down two or three a day without gagging.

i only eat one shake a day the rest of my protein i get from cottage cheese, chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna and red meat.
YUM

there's only 360 g sodium in the cottage cheese brand that i eat, canned soup - campbells chicken noodle for example has 890mg sodium... I wouldn't compare the two by their sodium levels..
YUM

what about say cereal..like vector and vive it's like 5.5grams of protein per half a cup i'd eat about 2 cups in each bowl, it's high in carbs but there suppose to be complex carbs, and the same with oatmeal.

My protein comes mostly from meats... but here is a list of what i eat to get protein:

1.5% Chocolate Milk 2.5g fat and 19g protein per 2 cups
Red Meat: Hamburger meat, steak
Pork Hotdogs
Tunafish
Shrimp
Chicken Breast
Roast Beef, Lean Ham, and Turkey Breast
Cottage Cheese
Beef Jerkey
Met-Rx Shakes and Bars
Ostrim ostrich meat bars
Eggs

Myoplex?

Are you guys talking about the little tiny one serving things of Myoplex? If you are, I took them for a while but the problem is they only have like 20 grams of protein. XXL has 50 grams of protein, 229 grams of carbohydrates, and 1,100 calories per SERVING. That stuff is the shit in my opinion if you can put it down, there is nothing better. I only take one a day to make sure I'm getting the carbs and calories I need along with my 400grams of protein. I just found a great chart from an old Muscle & Fitness mag, that has the amount of protein in all the foods bodybuilders eat. Tuna, Steak, Chicken, Fish, etc. I now put that on the fridge and mark down EXACTLY how much protein/carbs/cals I'm getting.

salmon isnt that good... read in the newspaper that they contains alot of fat... not good fat...didnt know that before.
I always thought it was one of the best protein sources outthere.

salmon has the omega 3 fat that is good for you.

I stick with steak, chicken, fish, protein shakes/bars, cottage cheese, turkey

If you use whey IMO you should eat something close to an hour later. W/ cassein and egg powders, maybe you can wait till the second hour. Incorporate some flax seed oil and some fiber (like metamucil) to slow down the whey break down. I've read that after an hour and a half you will be more catabolic then when you started before your whey shake. So eat up guys, real food is the best. Who cares if you eat more chicken, fish, steaks or cottage cheese?

Sardines

Dude have you guys read the label on canned sardines carefully.I always love a whole can sometime in the day as a sandwich with cheese sometimes(heavy bread like rolls or something). You can tell Im a big fan of fish in gerneral.Dude's dont forget to jog in the mornings,I say morning because thats when your stomach is empty and you will be burning calories that count around your waste before you start your day.:alien: :alien:
