Protein Quality in Bagels

For breakfast, I usually eat 5 honey whole wheat bagels at Manhattan Bagel. I need the carbs. In 5 bagels, there is around 50-60 g of protein, so I do not eat any egg with it. However, I notice that about 3 hours after breakfast, I have to hit the toilet hard.

Is the protein quality bad in bagels? Meaning, does your body actually digest it well? Is the protein going to waste? Do I need to eat a source of egg protein with breakfast?

I would imagine that bagels are an incomplete protein. Similar to nuts, beans, grains, etc. I do not count the protein in grains, bread, nuts, beans, etc toward my daily total. Although the Ezekiel brand breads are actually a complete protein because they contain all the required amino acids. The Ezekiel raisin toast makes a killer scrambled egg sandwich :p

If it were me it'd be b/c of the fiber. If i had 5 honeywheat bagels that would be around 25g of fiber. that would wreck me.....
