Partial Deadlifts

I agree with Viking. I love partial deads(rack pulls), but I once did them exclusively for a while and progressed a ton, then went to full deads and had gotten weaker. You have to train the full ROM too or at least exercises that will give a power transfer to the full dead. I.E. Zerchers, olympic squats, etc.


I think they help your grip out a ton, just like static holds.
 
I do partial deads every back day but after all my other lifts. I will warm up with 315, 405 then on to 495,585,635 for reps of 10,7-8, 5,, all from a few inches below my knees...
kills my spinal errectors. can do full reps of 405 for 6-7.
dont do to many full b/c of back injury.
