My neck just wont GROW!

I've been working my neck for almost a year now and have not seen any mass....Could it be due to genetics?(Ectomorph)
I work my neck twice a week with head harness, and just started bridges about a month ago...
My traps have no problem growing, infact i think they are too big for my body and tend to over run my shoulders:(, but my neck just wont grow!

I'd appreciate any advice or information?

Some of my stats:
5'8"-210lbs.(around 10-11%bf)
16"neck:(

Ps.Heavy deadlifts are included in my back workouts...

Before I continue, as with any advice I give, please re-evaluate your form on your exercises if you haven't already......Now, Genetics play an enormous role in neck size......it is just one of those situations where you can't have everything......you'll probably never have a 22" neck, but you can certainly thicken it up, the wrestler's bridges should add improvement.....those 4-way neck machines help too, you should keep the reps high, like in the 15-20 range on direct neck work and if you're using HIT switch to volume, if you're using volume, switch to high intensity, if it isn't working scrap it.......but like I said, genetics, you are probably programmed to have freaky traps, and a less than freaky neck, so what? would you rather have no traps? Look at it that way, some guys neck's grow from driving by the gym on their way to lunch, some guy's traps do......some guy's arms do......you can't have the total package, just strive for it and prioritize your weaknesses, thats the closest thing to perfection anyone can acheive, and don't get bent out of shape, cause a 16" neck at 210 isn't laughable, it's not Kurt Angle, but you're not a pencil necked geek either....

Im a real pencil neck and i have allmost given up on ever having a thick neck. I think i look kind of wierd with a thin neck on a somewhat solid body.

neck doesnt make the person, the brain on top of it does, as well as the shoulders its connected to. im not sure how big my neck is, frankly i dont care, cuz i wanna get my traps so big that they run halfway up my neck so i look like a monster. :D

they're pretty big stats for an ectomorph.

I would consider myself an ectomorph and i had a pretty thin neck. When i had some chronic strains of some of my neck muscles over about a month period, my neck got alot bigger lol. Probably alot of scar tissue but hey, im not complaining.

Get someone to pull at your neck and try to strain it if u get desperate, jk

Personally I think a big neck makes you look like a box of rocks. Big traps look powerful, a big neck makes you look like a meathead. I don't know how skinny your neck looks, but it can't be that bad. I just measured my neck out of curiosity, it is 17 inches (that's without bowing it up). I am a neck monster! Okay, no I'm not. I really haven't ever though about having a big neck. That's kind of weird. Good luck with the growing neck!

BigBadBootyDaddy29-I haven't been hitting my reps that high on all the sets...So i'll change up and see what happens...

louden_swain-Funny you say that...Because i did look for some wrestlers in my gym, but didn't have any luck finding the:(

AlbinoAssassin-I was shooting for a 18" neck....But i dont think that will happen...

To the rest- Thanks for the advice and all the positive input...I really appreciate it...
