My First Test Shot!

If you're using a larger needle to draw you're poking a hole in the rubber large enough to replace the oil with air... Think about it!

you do what ya want..i know if i have a 50ml bottle of test im not pumping air into it 50 times till its empty everytime i draw a ml...to each his own but ive made it 7 years without a infection (3 years of daily injects)which is more i can say about most others

So will I be able to draw normally without inserting any air?

I want to try it your way, but I had a very tough time drawing last time even with the extra air.

ezekial is correct...drawing with a 25 gauge or 23 is terrible...20 gauge and your good to go

Today I decided to give a 29 gauge insulin pin a shot (literally) :D

The 29 drew just like the 25.

I pinned calf and was amazed at the injection. The needle slid in with very little force.

The injection was also extremely fast.

I am using Teva Testosterone Cypionate in cottonseed oil 200mg/ml.

The only issue I had was that I couldn't get the last little air bubble out of the syringe before injecting...

If you are using insulin pins for injection then you should draw with a regular syringe then remove the plunger from the insulin pin and squirt the oil through the back and then replace the plunger, makes things go alot faster.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the 29 gauge did not take very long at all. The injection site is barely noticeable now (12 hours later).

I'm going to continue on with insulin pins for now.

With all due respect bro, your suggestion to, "remove the plunger from the insulin pin and squirt the oil through the back and then replace the plunger" is not sterile.

Thank you for your response, I appreciate seeing different people's points of view.

25g is way too thin, especially to draw from the vial with. I use an 18 to draw, and a 19 or 20 at 1.5" to inject (glutes), or 21g at 1" for delts and quads. You can use as small as 23g to inject, but it's going to be a lot easier with a heavier gauge, if you get used to the needle sticks. As far as the air being pushed into the vial, I do that, and I don't think there are any issues with airborne contaminants affecting the contents. The air isn't sterile when the vial is sealed... I'm not worried for myself at least.
