Do you not get anything that anyone has said around here? Just look at yourself, right there ^
DaBuff gave me flack about my language in the Religion forum and gave me heat about blaspheming his god. I can't blaspheme his god because I don't worship his god, but that's neither here nor there. Y'know what, maybe he was right, maybe he was wrong, but neither he nor BBkingpin have ever used vulgar language to make their points.
It's about integrity. I realize some of these touchy feely Christian say "Well you don't have to do anything to be a Christian, just accept Christ in your heart and all will be well," and I'm telling you that's the largest cop out I've ever heard. You gotta work it a little. You cannot go out, score an ounce of coke and pick up a couple of hookers on and party all night and still sit there and say "Well, I'm a christian, I'm just a sinning christian." Where is the personal integrity? What ever happened to walking the walk and talking the talk?
In my coven, we hold our members to a high standard. It has been told to us, time and again, that every one of us is the public face of our coven, our tradition, and pagans and wiccans everywhere. I don't know that anyone who is meeting me for the first time has ever met another pagan, or ever will meet another pagan, and I feel I have a responsibility to present my spirituality in the best possible light.
You, gladiator, in putting your religion out on these boards as a Christian represent the face of all Christians for some people. Do you realize the embarassing message you are presenting?
Finally, if you hold a great master in deep reverence and claim to follow his teachings, it's generally expected that one will do their best to shape their life after that teacher. I'm gonna quote you from your own book again: Matthew 15:18-20 "But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders."
