I remember reading a thread a while back, and there was alot of mixed opinions on vitamins. Its basically been stuck in my head for a while.
Someone posted an article where a man/mouse (I'm not sure which it was) was fed natural and synthetic vitamin A. Excessive dosages of the natural didnt do anything to the man/mouse, but the synthetic caused blindness.
Also apparently over the counter vitamins are banned in certain countries as well. And there was a big thing here on EF here 6 months ago or so, where pharmaceutical lobbyists were/are trying to get rid of over the counter vitamins from stores here as well, and they urged us to send mail to congress and stuff (I'm canadian, so I'm not sure who you send that stuff to).
Now, noones arguing that natural vitamins are bad, from fruits, veggies and such. But I really wonder if the synthetic shit we eat can be any good at all, I mean really, its a synthetic, how CAN it be good?
What do you guys think? After reading that long thread a while ago I pretty much stopped taking vitamins, and try to stick to fruits/veggies, but I still wonder really. Any opinions/articles would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.
