Does anyone here have a membership with la fitness or on e of those mainstream gyms you can go with your family.

Any of you bros take your kids to the gym to workout with you or other members of your family?

I go to a regular local gym owned by the same guy the last 25 years, and where 90% of the members are men lifting and you barely see a girl lol. Most of us are on cycle, and a lot of the local cops and firefighters train there.

I'm thinking to broaden my social scope a bit. I'm a divorced dad and kinda want to start lifting with my 15yrl son, but I don't want him going to the juice dungeon lol.

I live in Canada so we don't have that chain but we do have the YMCA. I would look into the YMCA. The nice thing about the YMCA is that they have a weight room but also basketball courts, a running track, swimming pool etc. The YMCA also has discounted rates for families.

That way your son can lift weights with you, but also play some basketball, go swimming etc.

Most young kids find lifting weights kind of boring. You can spark his interest in lifting weights but allowing him to do other things as well so he doesn't have to spend his entire time in the weight room with you.

I used to have to babysit my cousin (who was 12 at the time) and the YMCA was great. He would join me for the first half of my workout and then play basketball while I finished my workout.

I do not believe kids under 18 are allowed in franchise gyms, that is a liability problem waiting to happen.

YMCA is fine though but good luck getting in a good workout with a bunch of kids running around. its a joke gym but good for you for wanting to get your kid involved. you should get him involved though at his school gym, thats where i started and it will allow him to be pushed by his peers.

Sounds like a good idea in your situation. The problem is usually these gyms can have an atmosphere where people do not focus and are not serious about training. If you are able to still train hard and also have a social aspect too then go for it.

Sincerely, I think that it would be best to get your kid to the classic gym where you are already a member. The atmosphere there is more authentic, and it would be on the contrary a good opportunity for you to talk freely about steroid use, and explain how it goes.
