I need your expert opinions on nutrition!

Alright! Well, I eat a fruit and grain bar, and a packet of oatmeal for breakfast. I know it has a good amount of sugar (almost 30 grams combined) but it has about 280 calories combined, and I don't have any alternatives until the end of the week.

For lunch I just ate a whole sweet potato, and I nearly got sick (after a while the flavor gets bad). I also eat yogurt every day for lunch. (Usually for lunch I eat peanut butter sandwiches with skim milk on whole wheat bread)

For dinner I eat long grain brown rice and tuna... which hopefully will change this weekend when I buy/learn how to make lean beef, fish, and chicken (my parents are visiting).

It's been this way for about a week I think, and I haven't really cheated. I love tuna and brown rice, (though it's a little plain... might add some miracle whip mayonnaise) so it's not a big deal for those things.

For snacks I munch on mixed nuts. I also take a whole food multivitamin to make sure my body has all that it needs after meals.

Any advice on dieting is welcome though, I came here to learn from you smart guys! =)

P.S.: Sometimes at night I get real hungry, but after I go to sleep and wake up I feel much better!

Wow, this is what you currently eat?

You have your first real serving of protein for dinner?

So I'm taking that I need to be taking protein earlier in the day, yes? I only have tuna though >.<... do more cans of tuna?

I'm thinking of buying that protein stuff (whey, or whatever is the healthiest for my body... someone mentioned soy) to help with protein intake, it'll be my first time using it. If you know stuff about that lemme know too. (I really appreciate it) =)

In my opinion one can of tuna a day is ok... you can also have egg whites.... or do more cans of tuna if that is the only thing available... (although in some other post there is a controversy about using tuna due to the mercury)
... and complement your protein intake with whey protein. However do not rely your protein intake solely to protein shakes.

Alright, thanks for all of the helpful information! If you have any other tips feel free to tell me! I appreciate it!
