I may have posted this before, but should you do any leg work while using HIIT??

I'm doing HIIT 2-3 times a week and trying to maintain as much lean muscle as possible during my cutting cycle. Is it smart to leave out deads and squats if your using HIIT for cardio since it does make your legs sore and pumped during the sprinting intervals. I don't know if I could maintain a leg workout during the week doing that much HIIT cardio, but I will if the HIIT is going to cause me to loose strength and size.

Yes yes yes, do legs also. I think you'll find that HIIT doesn't make your legs tired. It's more of a cardio tired than a muscular tired.

If you actually sprint, your legs will get very tired. I really feel it in my arms after HIIT too.
If you just jog when you should be sprinting, then you probably won't feel shit.

On the other days. Too tired after training to do HIIT. Too tired after HIIT to do anything. mmm nap time

Mon 10x120 yard sprints

Wed 10 T drills 10 Box drills

Fri 5 20 sec sprints 10 10 sec spritns 20 5 sec spritns

Sat 5 Lax suicides 40 there and back 60 there and back 80 there and back 120 there and back = 1

tue and thursday are 30 min bike

edit: these are done in 15-30 min for teh conditioning factor

I would keep deads and squats in there also. Just allow for as much rest as possible, and the sprinting should serve as active recovery. But one day of complete rest per week is nice.
