If you don't have the specialized equipment, finding a way to do G/H raises can be a real challenge. Some people weigh down their barbell and wedge their feet under it and do them from the floor like suggested in another thread:

I found another way to do them. If you have a weight tree with enough weights, you can wedge your ankles under the 45s and do them from the floor that way. I haev 5 45s on the pin and I weigh 175 and that held my feet down fine.
Boy, I see what people mean about them being hard!!!! Just holdign on as long as you can on the negative feels like my hammies are completely cramping up every time! I did one set of five negatives for now....one day I hope to be able to do at least one positive!
