Anyone have anything interesting that they mix together??? I need something with more kcals in it for breakfast. I need more carbs. I used to mix a huge prot shake up with a bunch of dry oatmeal and drink that.

DrBones...I saw that you had something interesting posted...

C'mon...some ideas!!!!

One I used to make was a 1 pound tub of cottage cheese mixed with Orange juice and blended up... Tons of protein and calories in there, and well taste pretty good too.

I made some mixture together once... it might make you hurl though...

I took peanut butter, cottage cheese, strawberry jam and some tuna all mixed up into a bowl and ate it... it tasted, well... surprisingly not gross... and for what I was getting in this very nutritious meal... it wasn't making me throw up... so that was good. :)

before workout

2 cups water
chocolate whey protein 1 scoop (20g)
dash of creatine monohydrate

I drink this with a large heaping spoonful of oat bran.

This I think is roughly 24g of protein

Just After workout

2 cups milk
chocolate whey protein 1 scoop 20g

same heaping spoonful of oatbran

I'm just now daring to add a tablespoon of cottage cheese to the mix, not sure I like cottage cheese but I'll find out.

before workout:
1 cup of oatmel & a banana blended together

whenever:
icecream, milk, peanut butter, whey, vanilla extract blended together

you know whats gross but doesn't taste THAT bad
if you take like 1 can of tuna, 1 cup of apple juice, and some whey and blend it all up REALLY fine, and drink it real fast.

before bed:
blend up cottage cheese 1 cup of water, cinnamon...i can't eat cottage cheese cause its so disgusting, but drinking it helps

drinking your food: t3cs solution to disgusting yet nutritious and cheap foods

How about some apple pie filling (canned), with some walnuts for some omega 3's and of course lots of protein. It has a lot of sugar, which I try if I can to avoid but if its carbs you want then this has lots of 'em and tastes good too. :) If you don't mind it not being too sweet I'd also throw in some potato flour which you could get from a healthfood-type store. If you need even more carbs then mix with pure apple juice instead of water or milk. I hope that helps you out bro. :)

Heres what I posted on the diet board...
I eat this at least once a day.... Usually breakfast and sometimes post workout... In my opinion its very clean for bulking...

2 packs regular quaker instant oatmeal (or equivilant oats) uncooked
-3 to 4 eggs, throw them in the microwave for a minute or two until they are semi hard
-1 tablespoon peanut butter
-1 bannana (optional, but makes it taste 100x better)
-1 to 2 scoops protein powder
-350 to 400 ml water depending on how thick you like it

Blend it all up...
You get a very nice spectrum or nutrients including complex carbs for long term energy(oats), a very wide spectrum of amino acids in your protein due to eggs. Quality fats from the peanut butter, plus a little protein and a lot of good flavor..
You don't HAVE to add your protein mix to it... but it helps crank the protein up and you get some faster absorbing protein from the whey... I usually use a bannana flavoured protein so it goes really well... but I'm sure other flavors would work just as good.

It comes out to between 800-1100 calories depending on how you make it.... tastes great and its pretty filling... I can eat a shit load more when its blended up.

Possible substitutes if you want less fat -
-Instead of 3-4 whole eggs, use 1-2 whole eggs and 3-4 egg whites
-If fructose is your arch enemy(bannana) try throwing in some sugar free yogurt (doesnt taste as good though)

Stuff I've tried adding, and still do occasionally
-Handful of almonds... your gunna have to do a little chewing tho
-a cup of yogurt
-Soy milk (im lactose intolerant) (replaces water)
-Chocolate soy milk (yummm, but lots of sugar... so you better be bulking)(replaces water)
-skim, 1%, 2% milk to replace the water

This is my favorite drink I've made so far and In my opinion is quite clean...
Try it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks
