I guess I am in a panick :worried: . If you look at my log Toots13, you will have an idea of my current diet. Yes, I do want to better it! PLEASE HELP. Any advise would be appreciated. I have applied some of what I have read but thought I could keep some of the foods I enjoy in my diet, but I fear it's not working :(. I keep having these hunger monsters come get me! ANY advise would be greatly appreciated. Tomorrow is another day and I hope to be more focused and positive about the diet thing. THANKS! LOL

For results, you have to stick to the diet. I know it sucks, but that's the only way it's going to work. Save your cheating for the weekend, at one meal. don't go overboard.

If you're really serious about this, you'll do it. If you're not quite ready to commit, it's OK. Just be honest with yourself and your food diary. Don't leave anything out, even if it = 4,000 calories.

The girls you see on this site all have their weak moments, but you have to learn to control them if you want to see results. :rose:

A MILLION THANKS, The Short One & Sassy69!!!! I will go read, learn and try to apply! You girls are the best! Thank you for input! I really do look up to all of you that are so commited & can apply ALL of these aspects of training. WHEW!

Hi Toots,

I'll tell you a few things that have helped me. For starters, you gotta try to stop referring to your eating as a "diet". It has the word die in it, and as far as I'm concerned you're setting yourself up to fail. Think of it as a way of life. Continue eliminating negative foods, slowly but surely and you will see results. This lifestyle gets easier as you start to see results, so stick with it long enough to see some positive changes girl.
Another thing that has helped me is to focus on one day at a time. When I started thinking like that I was less likely to cheat. I mean the idea of a cheat meal is wonderful, but I'm sure I wasn't suppose to be cheating every dang day, lol.
Just, whatever you do keep with it. I'll give you a quote that helps me get through things, and it involves Love, Hell, or Right. When you love something you go through hell for it to turn out Right. The way I see that, is you have to love yourself. If you don't love yourself, no one else can love you. They sure can't love you right. So anyway, when you love yourself or anything for that matter, you should be willing to go through HEll for things to turn out RIGHT.
Many of us tend to fight for the wrong things, but when it comes to SELF, we tend to half step, and that's not right. Start thinking about YOU and the NEW YOU, and it will all fall into place.
I hope this little bit serves as a piece of motivation for ya.

Hey Toots,

Stay positive!! The-Shortone is right, we all have our weak moments (for some reason I refuse to give soymilk, even though I know I should). I'm having to tweak my diet every week. Don't think of it as a diet. It is a lifestyle change. If I don't see a change in the scale or the size of my waist, I have to reassure myself that it's okay. Because every week, I'm getting stronger.

Be patient and stay positive.

Thank you Necia. Those words are very meaningful. You are so right. I DO NOT want to use the term DIET. I would like this to be a life style change and one that I can live with everyday. It is so easy to use the D word by mistake, but it is not what I want to hear myself say or think. Thank you for the encouraging words they are VERY motivating! :)
