A few things:
-If you are splitting the dose you do it three times a day due to the half life.
-Get your diet 100% in line and have it in place for a month or two before you try var. You should see how your body reacts to eating properly before you try anything else. Its basic science. If you do both at once you don't know if both are working or its one or the other and which one for that matter!!!
-var is for adding muscle. If you don't want more muscle and just want to lose fat don't do it.
-If you do decide to go ahead I would go with 5mgs a day. If you don't get results from that your diet is all wrong and you need to start over. All of your results are driven by what you eat, when you eat, how much you eat and knowing why you are eating it.
