you can mold your body into whatever you want with propper diet/training

no such thing as hard gainers....just under eaters

lol, don't be an idiot. Everyone has a different acting endocrine system which controls hormones/metabolism....summery: there IS such a thing as a genetic ceiling.

listen bro..... i wasnt suggesting he could look like jay cutler..... i was getting at the fact that he mold his body into a whole differnet physique if he drops the pizza/beer diet and jumps on to one of the above mentioned bb diets. it can do wonders. although theres is a genetic celing, his body is obviously lightyears behind where it can be. you've got to be giving it all you can - eat big/sleep big/train big/and you'll get big - until you've pushed yourself to that limit - you have not hit your genetic ceiling.

furthermore he saw what one of us experienced lifters eat in a typical day, and compared it to living at an "all you can eat buffet" - obviously his diet is not in check, which is #1 molding your body.

Bad advice bro, your just giving bad advice - i guess we should all stick to a pizza and beer diet, and just give into the fact that we cant change our bodies

You may have to play around with macro ratios. It helps to keep a record of what you're eating. That way you can actually SEE what it is and calculate the cals and macros. You'll probably see that what you THOUGHT was "a ton of food" really wasn't.

If you do this you can start adding cals, adding in more protein here, more fat there, etc. You already know what's NOT working...time to find out what will work! It's a lot harder for some...especially for serious ecto's.

My dad was about 220 all throughout highschool/college and about 270 now, his brothers, fathers and grandfathers were alll the same way... pretty big guys. My mom was about 120's in hs and about 150 now but also had a big father and brothers.

I have my dads looks, height and everything, but one thing we never matched up on is weight. I weigh about 185 now in my mid 20's and have the hardest time gaining and keeping weight since HS.

Why did I get shafted like this? Could it be because of my nutrition growing up has changed my brain's body weight calculator and maybe even permenantely changed family genetics forever?

Any heights?
Or body types??
ecto, meso, endo?

You can't change genetics you can only challenge them.

the human body is an amazing thing, and it can be pushed beyond the limits. We hear about it all the time, in moments where a mother lifts a car off her child, or someone jumps higher, runs farther, swims faster...people bench pressing, squatting, deadlifting 700-800-900+++ pounds. But for some reason that's always someone else, and their circumstances were different, or their genetics are superior, or steroids, or whatever the excuse.

Sometimes it seems impossible, even with adrenaline (the mom lifting the car off her child), other times it's easier to explain away. But for those athletes who run farther, swim faster, jump higher, lift heavier...a lot of people can't fathom the amount of training and food and desire and determination these guys and gals put in on a daily basis. The majority of us have never had to do it.

I saw something on TV about Olympic athletes and how much they eat. Now these guys aren't bodybuilders...they are 6' tall 185 lb swimmers or runners with 7% bodyfat, eating 7500 calories a day or more...EVERY DAY. And we have guys on here who say they can't eat 4000 calories a day, trying to be big ass bodybuilders. Good luck!

I'm not saying genetics don't mean a thing, cuz they DO! But desire and determination can often mean a helluva lot more. Even Ronnie and Jay had to EAT a SHITLOAD of food to get big, and they have to eat big to maintain it too. You just can't eat like an average person and expect to become a huge bodybuilder...regardless of your genetics. I wish you could!! It would save a lot of us a lot of money on food!

Now...GO EAT!!

This is great stuff right here!!! I am not that big of a guy, but this is the mindset I currently have and I AM GOING SOMEWHERE in this game. This kind of thinking mixed with a lot of food and heavy training is the recipe for success. Good post CEO

It is costing me an arm and a leg though. I was thinking about robbing a few gas stations to pay for my Beef habit lol.

Don't do it man. I got a better idea. I've been eyeing this cow for a few weeks. A local farm keeps them out at night and I think we can take one for our protein needs. How's that sound? Are you in?

Do you have a pickup truck? The thing weighs like 800 pounds. Fuck. Four of us could do it. PM me if you're interested.
