the human body is an amazing thing, and it can be pushed beyond the limits. We hear about it all the time, in moments where a mother lifts a car off her child, or someone jumps higher, runs farther, swims faster...people bench pressing, squatting, deadlifting 700-800-900+++ pounds. But for some reason that's always someone else, and their circumstances were different, or their genetics are superior, or steroids, or whatever the excuse.
Sometimes it seems impossible, even with adrenaline (the mom lifting the car off her child), other times it's easier to explain away. But for those athletes who run farther, swim faster, jump higher, lift heavier...a lot of people can't fathom the amount of training and food and desire and determination these guys and gals put in on a daily basis. The majority of us have never had to do it.
I saw something on TV about Olympic athletes and how much they eat. Now these guys aren't bodybuilders...they are 6' tall 185 lb swimmers or runners with 7% bodyfat, eating 7500 calories a day or more...EVERY DAY. And we have guys on here who say they can't eat 4000 calories a day, trying to be big ass bodybuilders. Good luck!
I'm not saying genetics don't mean a thing, cuz they DO! But desire and determination can often mean a helluva lot more. Even Ronnie and Jay had to EAT a SHITLOAD of food to get big, and they have to eat big to maintain it too. You just can't eat like an average person and expect to become a huge bodybuilder...regardless of your genetics. I wish you could!! It would save a lot of us a lot of money on food!
Now...GO EAT!!
