Hey yall Anthrax reminded me about the benefits of gelatin for your joints and having just had surgery on my elbow I am cramming down the glucosamine/chondroitin and fish oil caps, and now I am adding gelatin to my repertoire.
I just bought some regular Knox unflavored stuff as well as Sugar free Jello-o in some flavors I thought I might like.
I was thinking I would just pour some in my protein shake every morning.
My protein shake typically contains several cups of skim milk, 140 ccs of unflavored WPC, and half a banana. If I do unflavored jello I will keep the banana in there and if I do the sugar free I hope that flavor will be enough to make the WPC taste good.
I am wondering how other people eat their gelatin, and also what it is about it that adding boiling water causes it to congeal or "jellify." Also how much does it congeal with just cold water/milk? Am I gonna have to really slurp it down?
Hope this gives people some ideas as well as gives me some, the first day of this experiment is tomorrow....as I wait for the HVAC guy to come fix my furnace
