I need to do cardio 1x per week. I need to figure out the best day to put it on, and i was thinking after my dynamic lower for the reason that i would have 3 solid days to recover with no lower body work until max effort upper + events.

this is my shedual

sunday: ME lower + events
monday: overhead press day
tues : rest
wed. DE Lower + light-mild cardio for 15-30 min
thurs: rest
friday: DE upper
sat: rest

anyone think it should be on a different day? please let me hear some opinions. Ive been doing it on thursday, should i just leave it there maybe?

what kind of cardio? i'm doing HIIT..my split looks like this:

monday: raw bench and lower bench work
tuesday: HIIT
wednesday: DE squat
thursday: HIIT
friday: shirted bench and high-end bench work
saturday: extra work

my HIIT consists of:

1/2 mile of wind sprints

then 20 rep dumbbell snatches, dumbbell pulls, and burpees in a circuit until i can't breathe any more (usually about 2 cycles through)

it's very short...20 mins max. my workouts are about an hour and a half on bench days, so i'll let you know if i run into any problems later with overtraining.

just an idea. if you're very wary/susceptible to overtraining, i'm betting you could do 20 mins of something like this on your squat day and have enough time to recover for your next workouts
