well i finally hit 16" on my arms, this was one of my set goals. My next goal is to hit 17 which is the only thing i could think of at the moment for signifigance

I've been training natural. What is pretty cool is that I went from 15 1/4 to 16 in the matter of maybe 1 month naturally after being on a 15 1/4 plateau. My arm strength boomed. I think this is accredited to me eating protein/carb ladden foods like a mad man. All i've been doing is eating in the past month i upped my diet big time. all my free time im looking in the fridge for something healthy high protein. I have also put on 8 pounds in the past 2 weeks. Going from 178 to 185 and i still got my six pack.

the only other thing is that i've been doing my lifts in strict form pausing before i go eccentric. and my strengh including my bench has gone up high

But it's amazing what a change in diet can do I never really noticed fact until now.

That's great!
And yes upping your protein will aid you gaining more mass.

diet/diet/diet

Very cool when you hit your goals!
bass
BTW....A little karma for you

Congrats, I still remember when I hit 16" for the first time like it was yesterday, sniff, sniff.....
17 is just around the corner!

o yeah Needsize, I gotta thank you for the idea for the 5x5 principle you told me about seems to be working solid. Never went this low with reps. I had to give credit where it is due.

I'm really glad to hear it's working, I know how well it works for me, but I wasn't sure about others. Just be sure your reps are clean and strict, and youre going higher rep on the last couple of sets, the 8-10 rep sets.

yep it was working for me, today I squated out 275 in 5x5. All I've got to say is i was doing 185 struggling about 6 days ago! mind you i just started regular leg training within the last month and a half. It's definitely working for me I recommend it to anyone
i do
5x5 squat
2x8 lunges
2x10 leg curls
2x10 st leg deads
2x8 good mornings(I do this every other leg workout)

if anyone wants to know

5x5 is awesome, did ya learn this through trial and error or was this something you read.

to be more specific about the squatting I started out with 235 for 3 sets and noticed that it was easy. so i threw on the 2 25's unsure if i could lift it. I did one subpar set, i didn't want to crash out. then i asked for a spot on 2 more sets for the 285 doing strict form.

That's awesome progress! The routine is a cross between the advices of a nationally ranked power lifter as well as a competitive bodybuilder, as soon as I started it I knew I was on to something

Congrats-

Good job bro keep it up.. gradual process is the key in continual gains.. shoot for 16.5" and after that 17" and continue from there. DONT ever settle for what you have keep striving for more!
