Ezekiel Bread vs. Brown Rice

1 slice bread=
80 cals
0.5grs Fat
15 grs Carbs
4 grs. Protein

1/2 cup Rice=
110 cals
2 grs Fat
20 carbs
2.5 grs Protein

Brown rice (1/2 cup 2 X day) is now the only starchy afternoon carbs my diet, but Im thinking of switchin to the bread because it might give me more energy for late afternoon workouts.

any thoughts? thanks.
 
I always found that ezekiel bread to be a superior CHO source, and to top it off, it doesn't contain HFCS :D

Make sure the brown rice is long-grain.

IMO, you can't go wrong with either choice. Are you taking any veggies during the day? I still think my all time favorite pre-workout CHO to be oatmeal.
