Strength vs Size

I have a question. It's about size and strength. Seems like there's always a guy I know who is plenty bigger than me, but who I'm stronger than. I know diet has an effect on size, but I'm not trying to gain weight like a doughboy, I'd rather be able to flex it than just carry it.

Pretty soon I'll be 40 years old. I'm not going to set any world records in powerlifting. I'm not trying to tear up my joints sliding into my 50's, as I already think I've given my rotator cuffs a good beating just getting to where I am today.

What I want to know is- can I get size without strength? Can I get two parts puff up for every one part strength? It must be possible, because just based on yoked guys I've personally known, dudes certainly don't have to be strong just because they look strong.

Point is, mine is a "look good" ego, not a "I'm stronger than you" ego. With that in mind, how about a muscle building workout that will build size but does sh*t for strength?

ps- none of this is to talk sh*t about anyone trying to add loads of iron to the bar, I can appreciate that, admire it even.

posts like this make me very worried about what my knee's, hips, elbows and shoulders will be like when Im 30-40 let alone 40-50...

so you are looking to look good or just big... you threw me off with the 2 parts puff and one part strength...

yeas u can deff get size without getting the strength its called a shitty diet and the workouts dont even have to be that intense. as far as wanting to look good and not to worried about strength thats a bit tougher bc u have to diet and have more intense workouts with lighter weight.
