Dropped the weight on my toes

I was working on widening my deadlift stance. It was my last rep of my warmup and BLAM!! The weight hits my toes :( It hurt like a son of a gun, and I think I may lose a few toenails. Anyone else ever done this?

The cool thing was that I finished my workout!

It`s always better to drop the weight on the spotter`s toes. get well

Once in 93' I decided to slip in a Sunday workout. I get to the gym and some ass left 405# on the bar. I was stripping it down ( this really pisses me off ) and grabbed 2 - 45# plates at once, the outer plate slipped and fell 5'. Landed on the top of my right foot!!! I was by myself and had to drive to the emergency room. The on duty doc. ( LOOSELY ) told me that I had bruised my foot. Anxious for a second opinion ( since I had a " 1/2" deep ditch " across my foot!!! ) my wife drove me to the nearest decent medical center and I found out that I had actually broken 3 bones in 8 places. I am a lot more careful now!!

I was very impressed that you finished your workout. It's good to know that you have your priorities in check! :D
i dont think that is priorites..... i did that and lost a toe and had to drop out of a contest....... if its anything like my injury........ you may just need some rest and take a break........ but if their not broken, you probably be ok.

Well, it was only my first warm-up set with 135. I was sure to check them out after it happened. I could still move them, so I waited a few minutes and continued on.

cool....... i dropped a 45 bar on my toes from about 3.5 feet high, no one was holding it......... bad thing was.... i was standing on a 4 foot long platform....... so the collars did cushion the fall, it just came down straight on my toes..... i still have only half a nail..... its trying to grow back but it looks retarded now......... oh well, i still lift the same.

When people work out with me, they tend to drop weights on themselves.

I have no idea why that happens. :)
