Don't wanna workout, can't find the motivation

Gladiola, I think it is possible only if you are willing to make that kind of sacrafice, (no listening, support, encouragement, concern, positive feedback) If you decide to go back, at least this time you know exactly what you are getting yourself into, and you can look for all those other things somewhere ealse, (elite, family, friends etc.) If you can put all those things aside and still learn from him then it is worth a try. Follow your heart. If you accept that trying to leave has made you miserable, Then you know what you need to do.

Good luck

Thanks for asking!

1. E-mailed Spatts friend. He has no place to train, just interested. He's trying to convince his Gold's to get some OL equip so he can start. I HIGHLY doubt that will happen, it's just not a wise investment for a regular commercial gym.

2. E-mailed coach back, got another e-mail. He FLIPPED out on me, literally personally attacking me. Apparently he's been reading Elite or my aerobics instructor board. Although he never read Elite before & what in the world would he be doing on an aerobics instructor board???? Um, so don't think that's gonna work.

3. Saw an orthopedist about the hips for confirmation on what the problem is & the direction to go. Got a doc on a lousy day, he depressed me - & literally told me to do NOTHING! Said not to bother icing it (hip flexors too deep), he could write a RX for PT, but it's not really worth it.

4. Wanted to go for PT anyway (realized, um, I don't know what to do when I start back!) and the highly reputable sports med place next to the ortho doesn't take my insurance.

5. Finally found a PT that does take my insurance who is also a certified athletic trainer. I have an apt for Friday, but I have very little hope that it'll be any more positive than any of the above points & previous threads on OL since July....

I'm lousy, I'm really lousy. At least my aerobics classes are going well. :D But now my favorite class at a university is off for an entire month. :(

Well, the ART has really helped my hip flexors - brought back the flexibility and practically eliminated the pain (still have the occasional throbbing - sitting in the car too long, that type of thing). If your insurance covers chiropractic care, it should cover ART. PM me if you want a local reference and I'll ask my guy if he can refer someone.

I hope you have a good experience tomorrow - if the PT is an athletic trainer, hopefully he/she will have a clue about what it means for an athlete to be benched. I really really hope you don't give up on the iron though - not enough women lifting (REALLY LIFTING) as it is. :-)

Got my fingers crossed for ya!
