Do you think cardio in general carries over into overall good endurance?

Just curious on everyone's take on this issue. I am wanting to hang on to my endurance that I have aquired from running but I am seriously burn out on running and the fact that I am going to be running on the treadmill now instead of outside doesnt help much either. I am thinking of using an EFX cross trainer one day per week(moderate pace for 20 min.), a stationary bike one day per week(30 min@moderate pace), a stair stepper one day per week(15-20 min at fast pace), walking on an incline on the treadmill one day per week(slow pace for 40 min), and running only one day per week(20 min@ different paces). DO you think the other forms of cardio will carry over into my running or will I lose what I have gained??? And no I wasnt running five days per week, I was running 4 days per week.

I like your idea of mixing it up. I was burnt out on running a few months back, so i quit. My endurance in the weight room went way down, so i had to start running again. I do other forms of cardio now, and its not as bad as running on a treadmill.
