i'm 5'4" 133-137lbs 18%BF. Looking to get to 15% BF for my first goal. How does this diet look??
Breakfast
1 whole egg, 3 egg whites
1/2 slice whole grain bread
1 tsp butter or vegetable oil (to cook eggs)
raspberry leaf tea
WAIT 4 HOURS
Lunch
any combo of cooked or raw veggies- at least 1 cup total.
1 tsp of any clear salad dressing
1tsp of butter or light mayo
4 oz of poultry or fish
one serving whole grain
one cup skim milk
raspberry leaf tea
WAIT SIX HOURS
Dinner
4 oz. of chicken, fish, turkey, or lean beef(occasionally)
raw or steamed veggies
one serving whole grain
1 cup skim milk
raspberry leaf tea

snack on hard boiled egg or protien shake when needed

This DIET WORKED FOR ME YEARS AGO. I have an extremely slow metabolism and I need to give it a HUGE boost. These foods and in these combonations are supposed to support thyroid functioning. I am trying to avoid the dangerous solution of turning to t3, but I am losing hope with exercise and diet alone.

waiting 4 and 6 hrs between meals is too long....eating more frequently (every 2-3 hrs)will keep your metabolism going. Definately add the protein shakes or another small meal in between breakfast/lunch and lunch/dinner.

I second this. Good advice. :)

Also, milk at dinner is interesting - that is pretty late to be drinking something so high in sugar. I would drop that.

I agree, eating smaller meals every 3 hours will keep your metabolism stoked....
Watch the processed breads and the butter isn't necessary...use cooking spray or Olive oil, Walnut oil, grapeseed oil, or add flax oil to salads.....Add more fibrous veggies...

Try and have a protein and veggie at every meal....
