Here is my proposed diet plan:
_______________________________________________________
6:00AM - 6 Eggwhites and Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

9:00AM - Muscle Milk Shake

12:00PM - Chicken Breast & handful of almonds

3:00PM - Muscle Milk Shake

6:00PM - Chicken Breast & 2 small yams

(workout 7:30-9:00)

9:15PM - Protein shake w/ dextrose (50g carbs/50g protein)

10:15PM - Chicken and 3/4 Cup of Oatmeal
_______________________________________________________

The breakdown comes to about 2500 calories a day, 175g carbs/85g fat/ 242 protein....

Right now do you think this is too many calories for a cutting diet? I am 6'4" and 230 pounds and i'm not sure of body fat but i'm probally guessing i'm between 11-14%(can see my abs after a workout pretty good)

I know someone is gonna say drop the muscle milk however I need a quick solution at work (8-5) and I heard muscle milk is okay for cutting (i'm not sure of that, that's why i'm asking for advice). If someone has a better MRP for cutting please inform me.

I lift 4 days a week, and do cardio (at least an hour of basketball) 3 times a week.

It looks pretty reasonable. You don't want to restrict calories too much cause u'll lose more muscle. I'm still experimenting w/ the whole "correct calorie intake" thing 2. Right now, I use UltraMet by Champion Nutrition for an MRP (more protein, more carbs, less fat, fewer calories, and less expensive than MuscleMilk) Surprisingly, it tastes alright. There are a few websites where u can get this stuff fairly cheap.

Anyone elses thoughts? Does anyone suggest that I stick some flax seed any where or anything... Hook it up I gotta get cut up.

If I lose a few pounds of muscle its okay cause I'm diesel.

I'm not sure about the muscle milk when cutting. Personally, I prefer whole foods, but I understand people can be short on time.

I'd have a tblspoon of flax oil or fish oil instead of EV olive oil for breakfast as they will provide omega-3s which will increase fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, among many other health benefits. If you take flax oil you might want to take a vitamin E supplement with it so your body can break down the CLA and DHA derivatives.

Also, your diet is short of vitamins, minerals and fibre. Add fibrous (green) veggies to as many meals as possible except for post workout. Multi-vitamins WILL NOT replace a balanced diet.

Where are the veggies/ You need some veggies for vitamins AND fiber.

I would replace the oatmeal in last meal with green veggies. I would move the oatmeal to the first meal.

Eat to fuel your upcoming activities.
