I crave sweets like cookies and ice cream every day. However, seeing as they're destructive to my diet plan, I told myself to never eat them again. Of course, not even 3 days later, I found myself happily and guiltily indulging in a more than moderation portion of both.
I understand how a cheat day or cheat meal is very satisfying to both the body and mind, but I realize that it seems like I take a step backwards every time I let myself "go."
Therefore, for the past week, (I don't weigh myself anymore), I've been letting myself have a BITE of ice cream and cookie after both lunch and dinner. And believe me, these are teeeeeeeeny teeeeeny bites, just so I'll be satisfied. Since I'm at college, the food is served buffet style. I no longer feel the need to eat a huge portion, and I know when to stop and throw away the cup.
So I was wondering, is it better to have just a TINY bit, each day, to satisfy my cravings (a mini-mini cheat), or to have just a complete cheat meal every week? I know that I don't intake more than 20-30 cals each time, I'm just that careful. Is this also more destructive than say, a cheat meal every week?
