Cardio Exercise before or after weight lifting?

My usual routine is to go to the gym, work a certain area of muscles, and do 30 minutes on the

elliptical (500 cal burn). My question was whether or not I should do the cardio exercise before

or after the lifting.

On another note, I've noticed some difficulty breathing after lifting weights toward my chest. Not

necessarily the bench press, but pulling weight TOWARD my chest, for example bicep curls. I

am yet to find a way to strengthen my biceps without having discomfort in my chest and

difficulty breathing.

Is it possible to inflame or strengthen tissue around your diaphram area? I feel like i may be

doing such, and its giving me a great deal of pain. I also have terrible posture, wonder if that

would matter.

Do cardio after weights - if at all.

Avoid exercises that cause chest pain and concentrate on one's that don't - come back to those painful exercises in a month's time and see if it's still a problem.

Save your energy for the weights and do cardio on off days ONLY!

after; but jeez I feel old if you're doing the eliptical at the rate of 1000 cals an hour! does that intensity interfere with mass gain?

don't know what to say about the chest pain, but this will bump it up, maybe someone else will...

haha honestly I don't know if it affects mass gain, all i know is that I am sweating a WHOOOOLE lot after i'm through and it slims me down quite a bit. This chest pain i've been having is debilitating enough to keep me away from weights for now. This brings up another question. I forget if I mentioned my horrible posture... When I am lifting weights, Should I lock my shoulders in to correct posture while lifting, or leave them as they are?
