so far I have egg beaters with some turkey bacon (breakfast).....protein shake..... need some other ideas, especially for dinner. curious as to if I can throw in some corn or green beans or spinach salad or some other veggies without messing up my 3 day depletion?

Thanks alot, you guys have been great. Also, should I keep the glucorell going to help me with the carbs, or since there arent many should I just stop it?

Thanks

Hey F-- First depends on how aggressive your deplete is -- are you going down to "no complex carbs"? My carb deplete for pre-comp prior to the last few days carb up was no complex carbs for 4 days and my fibrous carbs were green beans & broccoli. I'd stay away from the corn -- that stuff is high in sugar. Stick w/ green fibrous stuff. Honestly I'd probably also toss the protein shake. You want your body as "cleaned out" as possible & shakes just seem to introduce other "stuff". If you were doing any sort of water manipulation, the protein shake screws up the water count as well.

Another thing I do when I carb deplete / carb cycle is keep my total calories the same by replacing the carb calories I'm depleting w/ fat calories - i.e. add some flax oil or almonds to the meals where you are pulling the carbs from. To that end, for your meals you can do:

- chicken
- steak
- fish (would keep tuna to a minimum for mercury purposes)
- veggies: green beans, spinach, broccoli, asparagus
--->>> just a note - when I start loading especially broccoli & the green beans I get stomach aches so I REALLY like to keep a bottle of Beano handy to squeeze on top of those parts of the meal - depends on you, but my stomach starts getting touchy when my meals are so restricted & broccoli & such have a sugar in them that we don't have a natural enzyme to digest them - so you get the stomach ache -- Beano and / or digestive enzymes help a lot w/ that.
- Fats: make sure you are getting your fats! --- steak, fish, flax seed oil, almonds, flax meal

Hope that helps -- you should take before & after pix too so you can get some quantification of how you "look" when you are depleted. I'd also say if you are going to experiment w/ the following carb up -- take pix each day of that as well to see when / how long it takes you to fill out after the deplete.

Thanks a bunch!! Is there a certain # of carbs I should shoot for per day?? Or should I just keep them low without counting and just eat the fiberous carbs you suggest. Right now my diet would look something like this.

-eggbeaters (or eggwhites), turkey bacon
-workout
-PWO shake (I think i might have to keep this in there, but I will experiment)
-grilled chicken breast, spinach salad with olive oil based dressing (1 carb (sug) per serv.)
-steak, asparagus

throw some nuts in there as a snack (what about ANPB??)

tweak???

Thanks a bunch
