Does anyone else look noticeably flatter after sum good cardio? I do and I assume it's due to glycogen depletion, not dehydration... (dehydration good IMHO).
My problem: I've got a 6-hour Krav Maga (Isreaeli martial art) belt test this Saturday, which is basically 6 hours of intense cardio (don't ask). The next problem: I've got a date 2.5 hours later. And I want to look GOOD.
What's the quickest way to replenish glycogen stores and look full? (what do pre-contest guys do hours before judging?) I keep hearing about sweet potatoes, whatever those are... I'm guessing taken with r-ALA right after the test should leave me looking halfway decent two hours later... no?
Also, I want to stay dry / dehydrated, but do I want to worry about IM dehydration? I know subq is good, but IM... well, a bit of water never hurt my muscles. Can that even be controlled if it's a factor?
