Workout Rules....

IMHO. These are some of the rules I train by.

- Never train a body part more than two times a week and once a week for most muscle groups is adequate.

- Never train heavy two days in a row.

- Four training days a week is the max. Three days a week is probably best. Two days a week is adequate.

- Never train for more than 90 minutes. 60 minutes is probably best.

Feel free to comment or add to the above. If you disagree with anything please state your reasons.

You can train heavy two days in a row...
It just takes good diet and plenty of sleep. I go 2 on, one off. But only four times a week. This is alternating bodyparts though such as legs one day and back the next ect...

Another rule: resluts are results no matter how small, remember progress takes time...

Always lift with proper form before adding weight.

Always have a spotter on heavy lifts.

Screwball is right. I can't think of anything I disagree with, although I might add, that a feeder workout following a 60 minute gym workout can do wonders to increase recovery and decrease soreness. do feeder workouts the next day or two days after the regular workout.

Give it everything that you have got...on that given day.
