Why does every man exaggerate their income on the web and in real life?

Try being a woman. Men brag INCESSANTLY to us about how much money they make; how important they are; etc etc etc. It is nauseating. Some of them try to be subtle about it, and others beat you over the head with it.
Got it, just gift you a GPS and they're golden.

I go the other route, I brag about being poor. If a wiminz thinks you have money they just might get some crazy idea about trying to take it. :worried:

I went on a date last week with a guy who kept saying things meant to illustrate how wealthy his family was...."I usually go to my boat in the BVI's for a month in the summer but this year I think I'll do three weeks there and two weeks at my place in east hampton," and, "I felt bad for her when she said, I can't spend 200 dollars on a dress. I was like...200 dollars? That's a ratty pair of jeans to me!" etc etc. It was one of the lamest dates I've ever been on, and I kind of knew a little bit that he was like this but he'd asked me out five times so I had this "Oh whatever, how bad could dinner be?" kind of attitude. Apparently dinner could be and was really bad. Bleh. No thank you.

Guys bragging about supposed wealth is one sure way to scream, "I'm insecure!"

Hope you at least drained him for some good chow.

The food was excellent. There are a ton of girls in the georgetown set who would have eaten up what he was saying like it was their last meal, so I'm sure his act has gotten him plenty of poonani in the past.

Glad you enjoyed the meal, at least. As far as the G'town girls, more power to him.

Unfortunately for him his $$$ game didn't impress the Nef.
