Who Has Had Success With A Full Body Routine???

Have you had success with a full body workout 3 times a week? I met a guy that does this and hoist some decent weight and had pretty good development(5'11"-6'0" 230lbs and lean). He says he does 2 sets of 2 exercises per major bodypart and 2 sets of 1 exercise per smaller bodypart, except calves. He said he started training like this 6-7 years and hasn't changed since. Has anyone else had any luck with this???

Everybody on HST trains like that. That's also exactly what the old-timers used to do before steroids pervaded the sport.

I did last year.Monday and Thursday-gym,Saturday-events.I went out of town every once in a while to lift with some people that trained like this, and we trained very hard, but when I was alone at the gym here,it was hard to keep the intensity and motivation sometimes.

I did the Corn's Old School routine a couple of times and had great results. I think that's the type of training you're referring to. How about putting up a sample of your idea of full body routines?

As to my results, I gained a lot of weight naturally. There were 2 main benefits for me. I gained a lot of "Core" body strength and I shocked the absolute shit out of my body. I plan on doing a variation of Corn's Old School routine for the next couple of months.

Det Cord, my idea of a full body workout is exactly that, working every muscle group on 1 day 3 times a day(Monday, Wednesaday & Friday or Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday). I did something very similar to this when I first started training and had VERY good results.

I excercise this way. It can work great if done properly. Make sure to keep the intensity high and every now and then alter your excercises, sets, reps, rest breaks etc.

The good thing is overtraining is really hard to do because of all the rest you'll be getting inbetween. You also have alot more free time.
