Look, at 5'8" and 130 lbs., she doesn't need to lose a pound, she needs to gain lean mass.
Get her to focus more on the lifting, she doesn't need all that cardio. Trust me, you get that girl shoving heavy iron, she'll get hungry. She'll wake up and be tearing into the kitchen.
For now, get a good, totally unflavored whey isolate. Use a blender or a stick blender and whip a scoop of unflavored whey into a cold glass of milk or juice, anybody can knock that back. IMO, the flavored/sweetened protein powders taste like absolute ass.
