I gotta eat before bed....but I need my shelled nuts and protein shake.......dont take that away from me!!!
Nah, bro. Eating before is a good things whether you are cutting or not. It's important to eat the right amount of the right things though.

I like to eat before bed myself. Your digestion will slow, so you can keep protein in your system for a few extra hours. It's really hard to go wrong with veggies. Carbs I could go either way with, if you aren't maxed on glycogen storage, they aren't going to be stored as fat, but if you are already carbed up, they won't help much (as you won't be active) and more than likely will be stored as fat.

Sometimes I train at 5pm...eat at 6pm....mostly protein, some steamed greens, salad.......so at 930, I need my food! Gly. stores have to be realitively low.....that's where I poull my energy from for either my 430 cardio or training......

Your meal after working out is missing not only a key form of nutrients, but the nutrients themselves. Waiting another 3.5 hours to eat again is too long after your first pwo meal to contribute to any anabolism you may see. It's not that it's too late at night per-se, it's too late after the activity you've done.

U may wish to take notice, or not, just my $.03............

whelp, not so sure about that....I didn't count my po shake at 515 of 25g of whey and about 40g of gluc, plus creatine, gluta, bcaas, etc....then my meal comes in about an hour afterwads 6-630........by 9-930, Its my prebedtime snack of peanuts, veggies and shake............

Veggies (= mostly fibers) and good fats before bed is a great idea in order to slow down protein digestion

right on brother...........think it matters is you trained that day or not? Prob. not if you are trainng first thing in the am, eh?
