What Are Your Feelings On Cops?

Every cop I've ever come across always has given me a hard time because of my appearnace.

I don't do anything illegal in my neighbourhood, they just like to typecast. They see young male in 'urban' clothing and always assume up to no good.

Man, It seems like the general consensus is that COPS suck, I have to disagree, I have met some arrogant, full of them selves COPS, but most of my friends are COPS and I have to say, they are just like regular people. I do not see any of them thinking they are any better then anyone else just because of their profession.

In reply to the first post. A traffic stop is one of the most dangerous thing a COP does in an already dangerous job. Everyone is treated as armed until proven otherwise. Its called officer safety.

Don't let your experiences with dick head COPS make you think they are all like that

This is 100% correct. It's a difficult job and I'm glad that most of them are on it. As for the guy who recommended that all cops be executed, or a member of his or her family, perhaps you should walk in the shoes of an officer ... or, at the very least, the shoes of an officer's spouse or children. As the son of a 26-year veteran, now retired, of a midwestern state police force (read: many, many routine traffic stops), I speak with authority. My family lived five days of every week with the prospect that my father wouldn't come home alive.

my dad was a farmer, and farmers are more likely to die doing their job than cops. its just a myth that police work is extremely dangerous. its no different than the myth that 100% of welfare recipiants are black women with 7 kids.

Yes being a Framer is a dangerous job. So is being a Fisherman,and countless other jobs. But being a cop is very dangerous. I havent heard of a " Farming mishap" in quite a long time. i did however attend a Funeral for a Detoit Officer a few weeks back. He was killed on a ROUTINE traffic stop.
The officer was killed by being stabbed in the neck 8 times with a screwdriver. The officer was able to fire off a round and get the little ASSHOLE once. However the ASSHOLE is still gracing our world today!
The officer left behind a 2 month old daughter and a son. The officer was 30 years old....................
I am a Cop and can speak from 8 years on the job. YES there are guys that SHOULD NOT BE officers. There are ASSHOLES and KNOBS in everyline of work. There is no magic screening process folks.
I will let ya on on a secret, Most times YOUR attitude will determine if you receive a violation. I can write for whatever I want. Or I can choose NOT to write.
Justr remember, I to have shitty days and yes it can affect my attitude at work. I try not to let it.
Or better yet, the first 8 stops may have been total assholes you being number 9 stop, yes My " tude" could very well be shitty.

They can all suck my cock! They are stupid due to the brainwashing they receive at the academy. I don't think any one of them could stand alone without backup. They take their jobs way too personal without reguards to their victims families. They fabricate crimes for funding.
They cover up the crimes commited by select individuals. They usually become cops because they are too stupid to do anything else.

i suppose the fact that cops are, in essence, the modern day bullies (those you avoid because they can hurt you if they dislike what you are doing) will naturally make them disliked by those of us who either don't support certain laws or who break certain laws. because i break the law, those close to me break the law, and i don't support 30% of the laws in existence naturally i have animosity towards some of those in law enforcement.

nonetheless, being in police work isn't that dangerous. on average, 160 officers die each year. that is nothing considering that there are 700,000 police officers in america. 1 in 4375 odds of dying each year. i suppose those are a little high. a 30 year career leaves you technically a 1 in 120 chance of dying.

Geez i hate cops i was arrested once for no reason ,.. . and then the fucking sheriff came to my house and told me he needed to come inside and take my furniture away... and i locked him out , whatta fuck head

Also off duty cops thinking they are the shit and untouchable because they are cops. LOL!!! Those goys get their asses kicked all the time in bar fights, or so i hear from certain friends.

Yes they do. About 4 months ago a state trooper was drunk as hell hitting on some guys women at a bar/restarant then pushed the guy out of the way to talk to her! he got jumped by the guy and 4 of his friends and got really fucked up.
